Lake County Economic Development Corporation Seeking Input on Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

Lake County Economic Development Corporation is seeking input from the community in preparation for the submission of a five-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA). The main objective of the Lake County CEDS is to foster an environment that promotes a sustainable economic future for both the businesses and residents in the County and Cities of Lakeport and Clearlake. This strategy will play a pivotal role in directing investment decisions relating to infrastructure, public works, enhanced safety and resiliency measures, workforce training, and initiatives aimed at generating employment opportunities.

The preliminary draft of the Lake County CEDS is accessible here. Furthermore, hard copies are obtainable at the front desk of the County Administrator’s office and City Hall offices in Lakeport and Clearlake.

The CEDS will be presented during the City of Clearlake’s Council meeting on August 15, 2024, the County of Lake’s meeting on August 20, 2024, and the City of Lakeport’s Council meeting on August 20, 2024.
